Bentivolio

Things remain interesting in the Wayne/Oakland  county 11th Congressional
District, where the venerable U.S. Chamber of Commerce has endorsed attorney
David Trott over incumbent Congressman Kerry Bentivolio in the August Republican
primary.
Bentivolio is the tea party candidate known as the “accidental
congressman” because he won his House seat in 2012 after then-Rep. Thad
McCotter’s re-election bid imploded and he was kicked off the ballot.
Trott
Trott is one of the founders of the infamous Trott &
Trott law firm that specialized in foreclosures and evictions during the
housing crisis of 2008-10.
“On behalf of the U.S. Chamber, I am proud to support
Dave Trott for Congress,” said Rob Engstrom, U.S. Chamber senior vice president
and national political director. “Dave has a strong record of creating jobs and
promoting the principles of free enterprise and leadership in the private
sector.
“His experience as a
job-creator will serve the constituents of the district well and demonstrates
his commitment to policies that will produce sustained economic growth and help
get our country back on track,” Engstrom said in a news release.
