The Evil Dr. Rove?

Maybe Karl Rove has been called “Bush’ brain” for so long
that he actually believes he is an expert on brain matter. But maybe he should recall
that the last time Republicans tried to diagnose, via a TV screen, a case of
brain damage was during the Terri Schiavo fiasco. And that ended very badly for
the GOP.

At the 2014 Fiscal Summit today, former president Bill Clinton mocked Rove
for claiming that Hillary Clinton has brain damage.

Clinton yucks it up at today’s Fiscal Summit

“I got to give him credit,” Clinton’s husband said, “you know that embodies
that old saying, ‘Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.’ First they say
she faked her concussion, now they say she’s auditioning for a part on The
Walking Dead. She works out every week, she is strong, she’s doing great. As
far as I can tell she’s in better shape than I am now.

“… I was sort of dumbfounded. You can’t get too upset about it — it’s just
the beginning, they’ll get better and better at it. I’m still waiting for them
to admit there was nothing in White Water.”

Liberals are nearly giddy to see “Dr. Rove’s” political dirty trick fall
flat.

Jason Easley at PoliticsUSA has this to say: “(Bill) Clinton’s response perfectly
highlights the problem that Republicans are facing when it comes to attacking
Hillary Clinton. The Clintons have seen it all. Nothing is going to rattle
them. There aren’t too many people in politics who could bat down a story that
has the right wing media frothing with such ease.
