Some conservatives are calling for a boycott of liberal political commentator Bill Maher’s HBO show “Real Time” after the comedian took to Twitter to mock Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow’s Christian faith, according to The Hill.
The Hill reports that Maher’s remark came just after Tebow’s Broncos lost to the Buffalo Bills, 40-14.
“Wow, Jesus just f****d #TimTebow bad!” Maher tweeted. “And on Xmas Eve! Somewhere in hell Satan is tebowing, saying to Hitler “Hey, Buffalo’s killing them.”
Tebow is well known for his strong Christian faith and for writing a reference to a Bible verse on his face during games. Maher, who often looks for controversy, is an unabashed atheist who starred in the anti-religious film “Religioulous.”
