The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has launched a contest for the best 2012 campaign slogan that the party faithful can produce.
In an e-mail to their loyal followers, the DSCC warns that the Democratic “firewall” in the Senate, which blocks Republican legislation, will fall if the party loses four seats next year.
“We can’t let that happen, and a great slogan will help get our message out. Your words could end up on T-shirts, tote bags … the possibilities are endless,” the message said.
Based on what the DSCC staff has come up with so far, they could use a lot of help. Here are the potential slogans: We’ve Got Your Back, Barack; Repeal Republicans in 2012; Had Enough Tea?; Brick by Brick, We’re Building a Firewall; and Hey GOP? You’re Firewalled!
Ugh.
