Dave Jaye, the infamous state senator who was booted from office in 2011, has not only resurfaced, he is front and center on TV.
Jaye (the bottle-blonde version) is co-coordinator of recycling for Collier County, Fla. In that role, he has made a video, essentially an infomercial, for his government agency, the Collier County Solid Waste Management Department.
You can see the video here:

The 6-minute, 19-second clip, obviously made for public access TV, offers just the basics about recycling, with Jaye’s colleague doing most of the talking and the former Shelby Township Republican serving as host. Frankly, this looks like a video straight out of the 1980s when curbside recycling was just getting off the ground.
And it is fairly humorous to see Jaye, in a slow, smooth delivery, hawking a government program that is especially appealing to liberals.
Going back to Jaye’s days on the Macomb County Board of Commissioners, I can’t help but watch this and immediately picture commissioner Jaye pounding his desk and demanding answers to two questions: How much of the taxpayers’ money was spent on this video production? And, by the way, why the hell is it that we need TWO recycling coordinators?
