Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer warns that you might want to circle the date March 11 on your
calendars.

That’s the day that Facebook-organized demonstrations are slated to take place in Saudi Arabia. The organizers are hoping to spark a revolution that will toss out the kingdom’s rulers.
On FOX News, Krauthammer said this: “The big one is March 11. There’s a Facebook call in Saudi Arabia for a day of rage all over Saudi Arabia on March 11. Now, those Saudis have really good intelligence. They are tough. They’re ruthless and they’re effective. There isn’t a lot of anti-government activity in Saudi Arabia.”
But if the Saudis can’t foil unrest, “all hell would break loose” and U.S. intervention might be required. The reason, Krauthammer said, is that the Shiite majority in Saudi Arabia may take control and the oil-rich nation may become pro-Iran.
For Iran, he said, Saudi Arabia is “the prize, the treasure, the gold at the end of the rainbow.” If Iran tacitly gained control of Saudi Arabia, he added, the global economic consequences would be dire.
It would be, Krauthammer said, “a whole new world.”
