You may have heard that the filmmakers behind Red Dawn, shot in 2009 at various sites around the Detroit area, have delayed the movie’s release while they make a few alterations. More than a few, actually.
They are digitally editing the entire film so that the invading enemy is North Korea, not China.Apparently the movie studio decided they don’t want to insult the Chinese, for fear that the market in China for filmmaking would dry up.
I also hear there’s no truth to the rumor that Hollywood, after getting a look at the changes to Michigan’s film credits, wanted to digitally remake all the faces so that enemy appeared to be a swarm of Rick Snyders.
