Fresh from the annual National Governors Association meeting in Washington, and trying to keep his distance from Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder continues to demonstrate that he’s not your typical politician.
In an interview with Macomb Daily reporters and editors today, Snyder said this:
“I turn down most national press opportunities. If they want to talk to me, I decline. I tell people that, if it’s not specifically about Michigan, I don’t talk to the press outside the state — because I was hired to be governor of Michigan. I was not hired to work on federal issues… and I’m not here to be a part of that dialog. There are plenty of people who love that stuff.”
