A nonprofit legal organization devoted to fighting election
fraud has released a report showing that 141 counties across the nation have
more registered voters than people of voting age, and Michigan has more than any other
state — 24 counties with mismanaged voter registration rolls.
The Public
Interest Legal Foundation concluded that improperly maintained voter rolls are a problem in 21 states.
Michigan is among those states with counties in the double digits that have issues: Michigan
(24), Kentucky (18), Illinois (17), Indiana (11), Alabama (10) and Colorado
(10).

PILF, a group
that believes voter fraud is more prevalent than what’s commonly reported, has
sent letters of notice to election officials in the 141 counties. That would be
the first step toward bringing a lawsuit against those counties under Section 8
of the federal National Voter Registration Act (NVRA).

Michigan
Secretary of State Ruth Johnson has placed an emphasis on county clerks getting
rid of the “dead wood” – the deceased and voters who have moved – on their
voter rolls.
But PILF found
Michigan counties with officially registered voters numbering up to 109 percent of the
county’s voter-eligible population.

Here is the
list of Michigan offenders in PILF’s report and the disparity for each between
voters and people of voting age:
