Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel has certainly been much more easy-going in recent weeks, prefacing his remarks at public events with jokes or funny stories and even being nice to some reporters who aren’t necessarily his favorites (not that I would know anything about that.)
When county Commissioner Roland Fraschetti complained last month that Hackel wants to be “king,” the executive reportedly responded by showing up at work the next day wearing a crown and royal robe and carrying a scepter.
Now, we have indisputable visual evidence that Hackel, indeed, has been having a little fun with the “king” criticism.
The photo below has surfaced on the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce Facebook page showing Hackel, dressed in full regalia, at the Metro Networking Business Expo knighting Tony Rubino.
