Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell have forcefully spoken out against the Osama hit, saying that the killing made the U.S. lose some of our soul, our moral compass.
O’Donnell went so far as to say that the big crowd outside of the White House early Monday morning celebrating Bin Laden’s demise consisted of “drunken frat boys.”
Many other left-wingers have responded in a similar manner, questioning whether Bin Laden deserved such a violent end or if he should have been captured and brought to justice in a U.S. criminal court.
At least one liberal who has a decidedly different point of view is TV and radio host Ed Schultz. A hunter, fisherman and former college football player, Schultz is as ultraliberal on some issues as anyone. But he also parts ways with President Obama’s liberal base in many ways.
Regarding the military raid on Osama’s Pakistan hideout, Schultz is 100 percent in line with the president’s view that that anyone who thinks Bin Laden didn’t deserve a quick death “needs to have their head examined.”
In response to the Moore and O’Donnell reactions, Schultz had this to say: “C’mon. Why do liberals do that? It pisses me off.”
