Stephen Young

Move over RNC committeeman Dave Agema, you may have lost your crown for
most contemptible.

In case you missed it, a new political figure has
surfaced who’s risen to the top – or should I say fallen to the bottom
depths – as the vilest character in Michigan politics. Stephen Young, chairman
of the Allegan County Tea Party, took responsibility on Friday for this tweet
about the expulsion/resignation of Cindy Gamrat and Todd Courser:

On 9/11 2015, the terrorist network in Lansing Michigan
(sometimes called the Republican Party leadership), has taken down the Twin
Towers.

It took more than a few box cutters to destroy the
foundation, but included well placed explosives in a true conspiracy to cover
the truth.

Justice has not been served in this matter, but
destroyed.

The news staff at WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids contacted Young
about the remarks on Twitter and he took credit for them. Essentially, he
defended the revolting disrespect of the 9/11 victims and the reference to a loathsome
Twin Towers conspiracy theory.

He believes that the expulsion of Gamrat, a leader in the
Allegan County Tea Party, was a sham. Then Young doubled down, claiming that
the state GOP is more depraved than al-Qaida because it is funding countless
abortions.

“The Republican Party leadership is far worse than the
terrorists who attacked New York,” Young told WOOD-TV. “Millions killed by
Republican leadership, versus thousands by terrorists.”
