Jon Huntsman Jr. has already put West Michigan on his campaign map, scheduling a June 29 appearance in Grand Rapids.
Huntsman, a former governor of Utah and more recently, President Barack Obama’s Ambassador to China, will attend a fundraising dinner there eight days after he formally announces his presidential campaign, according to Politico.com.
Reportedly hosting the dinner will be Sam Cummings, a Grand Rapids real estate developer who was Gov. Rick Snyder’s West Michigan campaign chairman.
