On the left, as all this messiness plays out in the Republican presidential field, they are just delighted.
The hardcore liberals don’t like President Obama’s patient policies in Iraq and Afghanistan, they’re nervous about the president’s stand in Libya, they’re squeamish about the killing of Osama bin Laden, they’re dismayed with the lagging economy, they don’t think the president went far enough in his health care plan, they don’t like Obama’s tax policy, and they despise his efforts to strike a bipartisan chord with Congress.
But now, all is forgiven. They smell victory in 2012 and that means that they can crush their conservative adversaries and retain power for another four years.
