Two State of the Union watch parties will be held tonight in Macomb County – one for supporters of President Obama, and one for Obama opponents.
The Obama re-election campaign is holding eight SOTU parties, including one in Washington Township. That even will be held from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. (the speech is scheduled for 9 p.m.) at Art & Jake’s Bar & Grill, 65859 Van Dyke.
If that’s not your kind of crowd, the conservative group Americans for Prosperity and a local tea party group will hold an SOTU gathering in St. Clair Shores.
The Metro Detroit Freedom Coalition, which is based in the Shores, organized an 8 p.m. event at the Bruce Post 1146 VFW Hall, 28404 Jefferson, at 11 ½ Mile (Martin Road).
