After the nasty debate on emergency financial managers wrapped up in Lansing yesterday, Republican Sen. Jack Brandenburg laid it on the line.
Brandenburg said the state-appointed EMFs will be deployed in urban communities that need “financial martial law.” That type of tough-love is needed more than local control, he added.
“Local control? I’ll tell you what, I think that in a lot of these places there is no control,” said the Harrison Township pol.
