Grant Strobl, a Republican activist in the 14th Congressional District and on the University of Michigan campus, was included on the annual “30 under 30” list released by Red Alert Politics that singles out rising stars in the conservative movement.
Strobl, 20, of Grosse Pointe Shores, was the only Michigander saluted by Red Alert Politics, which is an online news and opinion website for Millennials. Strobl is probably best known for his outspoken opposition to liberal actions taken by U-M faculty, which has resulted in Strobl making appearances on Fox News.
He currently serves on the Young American’s for Freedom national board. In 2015, Strobl was elected to the 14th Congressional District Republican Executive Committee. The district extends from the Detroit River in Wayne County to the Pontiac area in Oakland County. Strobl recently attended the Democratic and Republican National Conventions as part of a summer project working with Fox’s Sean Hannity in New York.
The staff at Red Alert Politics said the 30 who received recognition were “selected for their passion, their dedication to conservative principles even in the face of opposition, and for their influence across the country.”
