We’ve all read some crazy stuff on the Internet but I came across a story today (through Facebook) that was written by something called the EU Times – apparently based somewhere in Europe.
The story makes so many outrageous claims that you might assume it was a satirical piece by The Onion. It is truly funny, but it’s also rather alarming because I wonder how many people actually believe this nonsense.
Here are the opening paragraphs:
“The Federal Security Service (a Russian website known as FSB) is reporting today that the “secret letter” sent to Prime Minister Putin by Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda contains a warning that United States President Barack Obama has issued an executive-level “kill order” against U.S. Congressman Ron Paul over fears this charismatic politician, who many believe could capture the Republican Presidential 2012 nomination, is about to expose to all Americans what can only be described as the largest mass theft in human history.
“According to this report, Prime Minister Noda first became aware of this “kill order” after a private meeting with Obama at (the) ASEAN Summit meeting in Indonesia when the American President expressed his “unconstrained joy” over the toppling of the Greek and Italian governments in bloodless coups by EU banksters who installed to run these countries unelected former Goldman Sachs executives.”
There are many ways to describe Ron Paul, but charismatic ain’t one of ‘em. To be slightly more serious, this is a site that apparently believes it can boost Paul’s presidential chances if it concocts a story that would be laughable in its audaciousness even if it appeared in a cheap spy novel.
According to the EU Times:
* Goldman Sachs “put Obama into office” so that they could loot the American taxpayers for $100 trillion (that’s trillion, with a T).
* Paul and others have been targeted by Obama for assassination because he is ready to blow the whistle on this unprecedented (and I would suggest probably impossible) theft. A key whistleblower that was ready to testify in Congress after being subpoenaed was found “suicide” in Las Vegas. (This one sounds so ominous, doesn’t it? The truth is that the woman was found dead, possibly from a suicide, a couple days before she was to appear in court for sentencing on charges of falsifying foreclosure documents.)
* The bipartisan vote in the Senate yesterday to grant the military the power to detain or imprison suspected al-Qaida operatives is another step toward a “police state America being ruled by a dictatorial tyrant.”
* The U.S. has become a country where every public demonstration – even the peaceful and orderly gatherings by the Occupy Wall Street movement – is treated by the authorities as the equivalent of a prison riot. After all, the former police chief of Seattle blamed the militarization of local U.S. police forces on Obama’s Homeland Security Department.
* Paul is ignored by the American media even though he may be on the verge of winning the first three contests in the Republican presidential race — Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina – and wrapping up the GOP nomination.
* And (here is the best one of all) the Kremlin is so concerned about the “growing American fascist police state” that Gen. Nikolai Makarov, Russia’s top military commander, has issued a warning to the West that the Motherland is fully prepared for a nuclear World War III. In response, the Obama “regime” stated it would immediately cease observing their arms treaty with Russia.

Her name was Tracy Lawrence and she blew the whistle on major foreclosure fraud. Kind of strange she winds up dead don't ya think??
The only "crazy stuff" you see in some article is Ron Paul is a "charismatic politician". Keep working at Macomb Daily, your comedy career is going nowhere. At least someone in the "media" can print Ron Paul's name, he is in 3rd place but no one will know because you "journalists" cannot speak of or print Ron Paul's name.
You description on the site says "centrist point of view" You sound more lefty than center.
