A second video has surfaced in the past 24 hours that
produces more political damage for Warren Mayor Jim Fouts, as it purports to show that
his November 2012 Chicago rendezvous with his young administrative assistant
was not unique.

While Fouts is backpedaling rapidly, the new video on
YouTube appears to be created by the same antagonist who released videotape on
Friday of the 71-year-old mayor carousing in Chicago with his 27-year-old
secretary Amanda Mika.

The new video asserts that Fouts left work
early and showing up in Mika’s driveway in October 2012 in his Dodge Charger.
An older man (perhaps her father?) emerges and puts a large suitcase in the mayor’s trunk. Then Fouts
and Mika drive away.

Again, this clandestine footage was apparently shot by a
private investigator. The soundtrack this time is another Hall and Oates tune, “You
Make My Dreams Come True.”

In his initial bid to defuse the story about engaging in a romance with a subordinate who has received large pay raises, the mayor
issued a press release that denied the salary hikes were unethical. But he
never addressed their relationship.

In a TV interview on Friday with WXYZ-TV Channel 7, the
embattled mayor awkwardly tried to expand his defense.
He said he and Mika are “not
dating, and that’s irrelevant.” He said the first video showing them walking
hand-in-hand and arm-in-arm in the Windy City was taken out of context. He said
the December 2013 pay raise for Mika was a temporary increase. And he said the
two of them stayed in separate rooms during their getaway to The Drake hotel in
Chicago.

The second YouTube video includes subtitles that indicate the
private eye saw Fouts and Mika enter and exit a Drake hotel suite but saw no evidence
that they had separate rooms.

With a reference to a prior Fouts claim that he was “the
most honest and ethical mayor in city history,” the second video ends in the same
manner as the first: “More to come …”
