This is rather hard to believe, but apparently Lawrence Tech is holding a public forum a week from tonight that will explore, in an approving tone, the “Truther” movement’s relentless claim that the World Trade Center was brought down by a Bush administration conspiracy, not the hijacked planes.
Architect Richard Gage, who believes piles of explosives caused the twin towers to collapse, will be the featured speaker. Gage is the founder of some group called Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, which is convinced that the al-Qaida attack, and the resulting damage and fire from the jetliners, could not have caused the towers to collapse.
The frightenting aspect of this is that Gage’s group apparently has 1,400 members, architects and engineers, who have signed a petition calling for a federal probe into their conspiracy theory. I guess even among the educated a small slice of the crowd consists of left-wing loons.
Why Lawrence Tech has agreed to hold this event is beyond me. If you want to attend this free lecture, maybe just to get a few laughs, it will be held at 7 p.m. at the university’s architecture building auditorium, 21000 W. 10 Mile.

Please remember that no plane hit WTC 7, yet according to NIST, fire alone brought down the skyscraper. Maybe if you attend, you'll learn something.

I guess people must just be curious about what the engineers have to say. There were so many reports of explosions on September 11 before the three skyscrapers came down. We waited for news about this, but it never came. Many people still don't know about the collapse of the third building, World Trade Center 7, at 5:20 pm that day. It was never hit by an airplane. It was 47 stories. It came down in six seconds. This event was almost successfully covered up. What else has been covered up?
I think the only think that is being 'covered up' is your day pass from the loony bin. If you really think that the Bush administration was competent enough to plant explosives in those buildings and bring them down just at the right time, you should have your head examined. I can't wait to hear what lame-brain story this Gage wacko has come up with.
It will be a lot better than Charlie Sheen's Show in Detroit! Ah…WINNING! The Info War that is! Good thing bowel movements come natural or else Chancy Chad would just be a mess. Ha! Too bad chad didn't know that the underwear bomber was let on the plane.

Getting angry at 9/11 skeptics, faithkeepers and censors is unproductive. Whether someone denies the reality of 9/11 out of ignorance, fear of the psychological disintegration it brings, or hypocrisy, a much better technique is to engage her/him into an aspect of 9/11 that is relatively unemotional and absolutely irrefutable, such as:
