Bill
Roberts, a self-described LaRouche Democrat, has put out an election pamphlet featuring
a photo of Obama with a Hitler-style moustache. His campaign materials say
Obama is ready to start World War III.

On
his campaign blog, Roberts, a Redford Township resident, makes it clear that he
adheres to the conspiracy theories put forward by his mentor, Lyndon LaRouche. In

Needless to say, Roberts’
opponent in the Democratic primary, Dr. Syed Taj, is trying to get the word out
about his “fake Democrat” campaign foe.

“My
opponent, Bill Roberts, is a disciple of Lyndon LaRouche and shares with
LaRouche the same extremist political philosophy. There is no room in this race
for Bill Robert’s bizarre belief in conspiracy theories and I am asking him to
disavow his promise to impeach President Obama,” said Taj, former chief of
medicine at Oakwood Hospital, in a statement.

So, let’s get this
straight. In the 11th District we have: a GOP incumbent who was knocked
off the ballot because about 80 percent of his nominating petition signatures were
fraudulent; a lone Republican, Kerry Bentivolio, a Tea Party candidate, who
raises reindeer; a former GOP state senator, Nancy Cassis, trying to make a
political comeback as a write-in candidate while serving as the Republicans’ anointed
anti-Bentivolio contender; a wacky LaRouchie running as a Democrat who
criticizes Obama more harshly than any Republicans; and a second Democrat with
a terrible political name who’s trying to make the leap from Canton Township
trustee to congressman.

Oh, boy. Pass around the
popcorn. This is going to be fun to watch.

Mr. Selweski – Thanks for the article but I think you've discounted Mr. Taj quite a bit. He's a viable candidate with centrist viewpoints and worth supporting, whatever his name is. Research candidates and educate your readers, rather than dismissing them from superficial facts.
