Pete Hoekstra has launched a new TV ad — no Asian woman, no rice paddy — that is far superior to his controversial first attempt.
This one relies upon a static background, a sun setting on the U.S. Capitol, with text on the screen criticizing Sen. Debbie Stabenow’s record on federal spending. The Holland Republican is sticking with the hokey Senator Spenditnow vs. Pete Spenditnot message, but there’s no semblance of the prior ad’s sophomoric approach.
