This is not from The Onion.
Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was scheduled to speak today at Capital University near Columbus, Ohio, but instead she mistakenly flew to Cincinnati.
The noon event is on hold while Stein drives from Cincinnati to Columbus.
Columbus Dispatch political reporter Randy Ludlow reports that, “About 100 people are waiting at Schaaf Lawn on campus. It’s unclear if they will all hang around while Stein drives up from Cincinnati, but pizzas are being ordered to thank people for their patience.”
The student organization that arranged the Stein campaign rally said it’s unclear how and why she flew into the wrong airport, in the wrong city.
So, the crowd waits, listening to Green Party activists at the microphone drone on about some of their favorite issues.
In the meantime, who ordered the anchovies?
