With just 3.3 percent of precincts reporting, Mitt Romney is at 45 percent and Rick Santorum is at 30 percent.
The county is divided between north and south, but not necessarily in the way political observers expected. In the more upscale 10th District, which includes all of northern Macomb County, it’s neck and neck: Santorum, 38.9 percent, Romney, 38.2 percent.
In the 12th District, which comprises nearly all of Macomb south of M-59, plus a piece of southeast Oakland County, Romney has a large lead, 48 percent to 26 percent.
But, we’ve got a long way to go.
